We’re sorry it’s been so long! We’ve been wrapped up in all the excitement of finally being in our home!
Our closing went smoothly on the 15th, and we had nice weather to move. Our wonderful friends Pete, Phil, and Jen helped us move all of our things! It was a very exciting day :)
I didn’t realize that we would have so much to do once we moved it! Here’s a quick list of the things we (and by “we” I mostly mean Tony :)) have done since we have been in:
- Installed all appliances in the kitchen
- Picked up washer/dryer from Kalamazoo (Tony’s parents generously gave us their appliances from their old house)
- Installed gas line from the basement to the dryer
- Put together BBQ grill
- Added dimmer switches to some light switches
- Put together twin bed frame (my dad!)
- Started digging/trenching for sprinkler system
- Put in mailbox
- Put in waterline to the refrigerator
I’m sure there are things I am missing, but that gives you an idea about all the projects Tony has found to do! We still have a long list, but Tony is enjoying all of it. My main job is remembering to water our new plant :) I am also enjoying doing laundry for the first time in a year now that we have our own washer and dryer.
Even though the building process is over, Tony and I plan to continue to keep you updated about our house and our lives in general through this website so stay tuned, and let us know if you have any new house tips!
